These are Richard Scrushy's old cars which were confiscated by the sheriffs department in Birmingham, AL and are currently being auctioned at Weil Wrecker Service.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—- Bidders are preparing for the chance to buy one of Richard Scrushy’s luxury cars on Thursday.

At noon, 19 of the HealthSouth founder’s vehicles will be up for bid at Weil Wrecker Service at 3400 2nd Avenue South in Birmingham.

The proceeds of the auction will go to help satisfy a $2.8 billion judgment against Scrushy.

In June, Judge Allwin Horn ordered Scrushy to pay that amount HealthSouth shareholders because the judge ruled Scrushy directed the company’s massive accounting scandal.

Among the vehicles up for auction Thursday, are a 1929 Cadillac and a 2000 Rolls Royce.

A military-grade Hummer has Scrushy’s first name painted alongside the driver’s side window.

All bidders must be pre-registered and bring a $5,000 cashier’s check with them to hold every vehicle they plan to buy.

I apologize and stand corrected. There actually was a 97 Turbo at Weil Auction. Supposedly it went for $80K. I didn't confirm the miles though. If it really only had 4K that's a great price!

Assuming the 993 TT is in excellent shape with no issues I'd say well bought. Probably can flip for a few thousand dollars in profit, $10K give or take. But I hope buyer will keep and drive the **** out of it. The real question is, is a near new 996 TT worth $55K?

Thumbs up

Ooops! Posted pics before I read your post Parnelli...

Thanks for the apology - no offence taken - life is good.

The prices I posted may be $2,500 high - may have been the last bid price that no one took?

+1 re 850CSi. Good price. I think the CSi will be the only E31 worth collecting, probably worth big bucks 30 years from now.

Question

The car fax lists the miles as....

9/27/2000 17 Bham, AL
9/14/2001 11,830 Palm Beach, FL
11/15/2001 8,656 Bham, AL
5/14/2003 2,156 Shawnee, KS ???

Maybe he drove it bacwards from Palm Beach to Shawnee, KS....

The strange thing is that the mileage went backwards two times?!?!?

I noticed cars that spend time in Florida often experience this phenomenon. They got a fountain of youth down there right? Or maybe the state is one big odometer wormhole.
