I had Cindy detail my 993 a couple years ago ... while the car was clean, she did not do much at all to get out swirl marks, light scratching, etc. I was a little underwhelmed, especially at the price. Basically, she washed it, rubbed some conditioner into the paint, then waxed it. She does it all by hand, and that's not going to address a whole lot if the car has issues.
On the other hand, the linked post above ... wow. The before and after is incredible, and the shape that that brand new BMW ( with < 300 miles) was in after it left the dealer was just atrocious. If you haven't read it, they basically ruined the paint and slopped on a tone of silicone glaze to cover it up.
Was not at all surprised to see a "Herb Chambers BMW" plate on one of the last "after" pictures, given my past experiences with those dealerships.
Rick is impressive, to say the least.
