yes... C2S came with regular brakes, black calipers. Thanks for all the referrals. Some I had seen, like the Craigslist C2S with the red brakes (the lower upgraded to big brake kit)...they wont move off $67, absolutely no interest at that price. I think I glossed over the sloan car because of the yellow brakes, I probably thought it was a turbo S... I will look closer at it. Thanks again for the advice.

did you ever cheat on a girlfriend...even though she was hot.... because another hot one came along...?
most of us outgrew that in high school when it came to girls... but I guess I didnt outgrow it when it comes to cars...

well.... I have owned two... both perfect, stupid for selling... both times... I have no excuse...

If you broaden your search to include less "pristine" cars, you'll find a wider selection, and also, won't feel bad if you get bored again and dump the car...

re: Wilhoitte, there are some really nice C2S out there without black interior. If I ever decide to settle on a different color interior, there are lots of options...something that has me thinking about just how important the black is to me. The very first on the list would probably be LUUS white C2S, which according to those in the know, is perfect in every way.

I have seen the silver/black C2S with yellow brakes up close, and yes I sat in it.
It looked well maintained. He was asking $59 but it's been there awhile. The yellow brakes, I was told was an option when it was purchased, black was std, and red was also an option. But these were not the same size as the turbo ones, I think?

Had a very careful look at that '97 Arctic Silver C2S with the yellow calipers and if I didn't buy the 24K mile one in CA, I would have made an offer on that one.
Richard followed up with me a couple of times saying the seller wanted it sold and was ready to deal. By his third contact, I had made the deal on the '98 C2S California car which is pretty much identical except for classic grey interior. While most think the majority of his cars are consignment, it's not true. He owns most of them.
It had more miles than the one I found in CA, a year older, wasn't as clean and was about $15K more. He's certainly willing to negotiate.
I'm about 15 minutes from his place if you want to know anything more about it...I'd be HAPPY to pick it up for you and drive it to TX...I'll even pay for the gas!
