Not sure whether my story involves the same issue.
Purely dumb luck I guess because I had no idea that there even was a memory issue. Recently after checking the oil level I left the engine lid partially unclosed and the light in the engine compartment drained the battery completely dead. When I recharged the battery I disconnected the ground wire for added safety. Once I reconnected all was normal as if nothing had taken place.
