Default HID install issue/question

I recently acquired the retro-solutions H1 55w 4300k kit. When just checking the installation fit, I noticed that the HID bulb will not fit into the slot for bulb housing.
The diameter is slightly bigger than the slotted hole itself.
Has anyone ran into this? Before I take a dremel to the hole I want to make sure.
Also the ground tab is round and not flat and it is now going to require a splice.
I read on this board that it was plug an play no body needed any splicing.
Did I get the wrong kit?

Thanks, the research on this topic has been extensive as I just did a search.
I will end up filing a little and I'll pick up bullet plug to mate to the ground plug.

Be careful not to scratch the bulb, it can vastly shorten its life.

Yeah, I had to use a small rat tail file to get mine to fit too. Doesn't take much and you're good to go.

Try not to even touch the bulb, as I have been told that oils from your fingers will affect them as well.

Just a small amount of filing is necessary. Try and hold the enclosure with the filing hole facing down as you file (rat tail file is good) so the 'filings' fall out rather than go into the headlight lens.
