ALL metallics are base over clear. Solids have clear coat from 97

My VIN is 324026, so the car was born in June, 1995, at least according to the door jamb plate.

Ah ha! Thus the debate! My car is an early 1997 (Guards Red) and is clearly a single stage car...and this is the reference manual we were looking at. BUT, it's still not 100% accurate, obviously.
