Default Brake Warning Light

Searched but did not find an answer to this one. The Brake Light came on 30 min after leaving Summit Point DE Event. I checked the Brake fluid and it was mid way between Min and Max, so I pushed the stopper up to see if it was registering low, but the light stayed on. I do not know what else the issue could be and all the manula says is:

"One of the two breaking circuits may have failed" - Is this a fuse or relay?

I believe that in this case, the term "circuit" in the manual refers to total of one of the two parallel brake system circuits on the car. Such reference includes both electrical and hydraulic components. Could be something as simple as a bad sensor or something as complex as brake failure of some type.

Isn't there a pad sensor that can trigger the light?

Yep, you may have worn down your pads sufficiently to activate either the front or rear sensor, probably the front, since they take the majority of the wear.

Wouldn't that just turn on the Brake pad wear light?

i am far from being an expert, but i had the same issue on my audi a6 and now the jetta... on the audi case i was the abs sensor, and i would think it will be the same on the jetta. it may be the same for the pcar? keep us posted on what you find.
