I'll be in the south SF bay area for the next several weekends.
I've heard of an early morning park-n-shine at something called Santanna Row, a fancy shopping / eating area?????????
Is there an event on Saturday or Sunday mornings?
What time?
Where is Santanna Row?
thank you
Craig

The car meet is Saturday mornings, but you can see nice cars pretty much any weekend night down there.

Well it's a little more organized specifically Sat AM on the south parking lot of Santana Row (east of the movie theater). Crowd seems to peak in the 10-11AM range. Typically 30-50 cars, unless someone has organized a gathering.
A little too late to call out everyone for tomorrow. Maybe next weekend? I'll be at the track and then visiting my mom in Sac, but since no one has organized anything this whole summer.........

As was my first view looking DOWN! into the CorkScrew, and the off-camber downhill turn 10 and etc...............
Details and photos to follow.
The POC gang is having fun there right NOW!
Great meeting you and your son this weekend Mark.

Oh yeah, driving the line from FAI gaiter to gaiter was pretty amazing.

I'll be vilified for saying this, but the Corkscrew is probably one of the biggest non-factors on any track anywhere, lap time-wise. You can lose time if you screw up braking into it, and it's a helluva place to pass (ask Zanardi!); but for DE lapping all you're doing is a glorified autocross left-right with some elevation.

Agreed on 8/8a ... unless, on a bike, you're dumb enough to try a pass on the off-camber going into 8a and find out why they are called marbles. Nice thing about the CS is its a low-side get-off on a bike unless you are dumber than dumb (dumb plenty of times; not yet dumber than dumb).

I've been wanting to check this event out for some time now. Think this sat. I'll finally get around to doing it. Hope you all don't mind a 997 crashing your party. If not, maybe all the other forums should be invited as well? Could be another great Porsche party! The more the merrier I say.

I'm planning on being there with Rufus at around 9am on 8/29. I hope to see a bunch of you out there. And "lowly" 997s are certainly welcome. I may even ask my buddy with his Mustang Cobra to join me. Try not to tease him.
