Help! Info request re: instrument bulb/holders

Help! Info request re: instrument bulb/holders
I need to replace a couple of burned out instrument lights, and I'm trying to find the correct part # without much success. My search attempt resulted mostly with LED conversions, which I'm not interested in.
The 993 PET shows the following:
964 461 920 00 (12 volt, 0.9 watt)
999 631 027 90 (12 volt, 1.5 watt)
The ones I need have the light green base. Also, when I pulled the combo gauge out to check out the bulbs, I may have switched the multi-prong plugs from side to side. Does it matter on which side the plugs go? Neither of the plugs female connectors have the same pin connectors as the male pins on the gauge, if that makes sense...some of the holes don't have the copper sleeves.
Yes, I am somewhat electrically challenged. I don't mind tearing into an engine, but I hate fooling with the electrics.
I sincerely appreciate any help from one of the electrical gurus out there!

If you hav problem finding the bulb. Go to a BMW dealer and ask for the e36 3 series instument bulb. Different color base but same style and bulb. I postd on this before. Search for my userid.
If it is just redular bulb, doesn't matter which way you put it in.
