I drove the kancamagus highway
While on holiday in NH we drove the kancamangus highway from Lincoln to Conway, then up the auto road on Mt Washington, then across Bear Mt. Road. All these roads scream Porsche!
I also saw a a 993 that looks like a new friends car?

I drove this highway 2 years in the row together with my better half. Usually she goes first followed from me sot that she sets the speed in here comfort zone. However, the Kang I drove first and then waited down for her.
Attached some pictures from the area - not from the Kang.

I was on the Kangamangus last Thursday going east in the late AM, West in the mid afternoon. It was my first time driving it, it was great fun. The speed limit is on the low side though (35-45 mph if memory serves).

Freddy, sorry I missed you, we didn't get into town until Friday am. Slow speed limit is correct, and many NH state patrol. It made me glad I was shlepping the family along in our Honda Pilot (I still had some moments of "spirited" driving, just enough to make the youngest a little queezy). I would have left spent some $ with state of NH in the form of traffic tickets!

Speed limit was just right when I drove it in the rental car.

I drove the Kanc one pitch black night back in the 80s with snow on the road in an old Mercedes with rusted-through floorboards - one of the most memorable drives ever - but didn't get to see the views.
Thanks for stirring up that memory...

Been debating about organizing a fun run up there this fall. Too bad about the speed enforcement.

FWIW, I didn't see a single member of the constabulatory on the stretch I was on from Woodsville, NH to Woodstock, NH. The "Kangamangus Proper" actually begins in Woodstock and travels East from there and is officially known as the Dartmouth College Highway but no one calls it that.
