Default Rear shock mount options? Rubber or Monoball?

My 993 is receiving new coilovers so this is the perfect time to freshen up the rear shock mounts after thirteen years of service.

The original units are soft rubber. I do not want a fully rigid, monoball units as they tend to become noisy over time. Are the 993 RS units made with hard rubber?

Do any 993 owners who drive on the road and the track even bother to upgrade the rear mounts?

993RS uses monoballs all around at the shock upper mounts.

All JICs come w/ monoball upper mounts, they work fine and aren't particularly noisy or intrusive

I have had ERP Billet monoballs in the back of my daily driver 993 for over three years and have had none of the problems you refer to.

IMHO, it is a good investment in improving the handling of you car.............ZP44
