Default Sensor wires without sensors?

The car is a '95. I was playing around and noticed that I have 2 disconnected sensor clips. Both are on the driver side. In the first picture, the sensor in question is in the palm of my hand without the boot. The one with the boot and the other temp stat plug into the tube that goes into the blower. I can't find a sensor for the other to clip onto.
The other sensor in question is in the other picture and resides below and behind the blower and there is hardly any slack in the wire. You can see it between the blue and red sensor clips just above the valve cover.

'95 models with the harness update will have these extra connectors. I have the same.

After helping remove & then replace a friend's entire Varioram manifold recently, my assumption is that these connectors control vacuum actuators located between the intake manifold's aluminum 'risers'.

So they were extras that were not needed from the 964 cars or were they wired to be used for upgrades on later model cars?

Porsche issued an engine harness recall for 993s - the replacement harness came with the extra plugs already in use on '96+ models.

You need to disconnect the heater tube resistor (the spring looking thing) right now. When the CCU senses the heater tube temperature above a certain amount, it will send +12V unfused through that heater tube resistor to run the heater blower. When that happens and your now laying around resistor happens to contact any ground point, it will get hot enough to start a fire!!!!

The resistor and the other sensor connector are all re-connected to the tube. I had removed the tube to do some clean up and noticed the 2 extra connectors. I wanted to make sure they were not supposed to be connected since I couldn't find any sensors to attach to.
