Which belt part number is correct?
According to Porsche Tech bulletin 7/97a 1378. If you do the pulley update and own a standard 911 Carrera they say to use the previous belt version
999 192 343 50 (760 mm long). Only the turbo uses the new belt
999 192 373 50 (757 mm long). But according to the article on p-car.com you need to use the 757 mm long belt, but they label it 753 mm long??
"999 192 373 50 Alternator belt 9.5 x 753 mm (with pulley update kit) "
Which one is correct??
Thanks for the help!!! I really appreciate it!!

I have the updated pulley and just went thru changing belts. I used PN 999 192 343 50 for the alternator per the bulletin you mention. I ordered from Pelican and they describe it as "9.5 x 760, Brand: Genuine Porsche". Not sure why the p-car DIY shows a different length but I would trust the Porsche bulletin.

I would certainly follow the TSB. P-car.com is a great resource but isn't flawless.
BTW, I had a hell of a time getting the 760mm belt to fit on my updated pulleys. In fact, I couldn't since I didn't have enough spacers. So a smaller belt surely wouldn't have worked for me.

We find the use of the 760mm belt is necessary with the pulley update (also std on the two piece pulley halve).
The others are just too short.
