One of the best threads ever! If you do a search you will see that there is "hard" evidence that Porsche puts their best engines in white 911s. "We" have people working on the assembly line at the Porsche factory that tell us things.

And, I am always willing to post photos;

And one from the old days.....

Glaciers are as slow as ice! (In fact, they ARE ice!) So, no Glacier White Porsches are some of the slowest cars on the planet. They are good for about a foot a month in today's climate.

However, BLUE is considered much faster. (Ever heard the term "Blue Lightning?")

Per a Zuffenhausen bulletin,--

Wiedeking Richtlinie: Wirkungsvoller heutiger Tag, sollten die besten abgestimmten Maschinen für maximalen Ausgang reserviert sein, damit alle Farbe blaue Autos probiert.

More common, "I am blue" when a white passes by.

Chuck, your car always looks good!

I love Glacier White but Arctic Silver comes awfully close for me.

Haaaaaah..... very good.

Translation per Google;

Wiedeking Directive: Effective today, the best tuned machines reserved for maximum output so that all cars blue color probiert.

Yes, white cars are faster than others, especially white Porsches. That is why Porsche makes most of their Cup and RSR cars in white. Black cars are the slowest. I can clearly demonstrate that with my two Porsches, the white 993 and the black Boxster. Is it because of the 100Hp difference?, No, it's the color! LOL!!!

Silver by far is the fastest, Arctic followed by Polar by a tick.
