Toyo Proxies T1R... any good???
#17
Thanks for all the help you guys. I just took my first test drive with the T1R Toyo Proxies all around (255x30x19 and 315x25x19). I'm running 33 psi/38psi.
All the scary part is now gone. the car is quite planted and stable. I took it on some twisties and the tires are very predictable and quite sticky. Of course, I'd need to get them on a track and get some real heat in them to really know, but they seem every bit as good as my Pirelli Pzero Rossos (when I had them all around).
A lesson learned... you can mix tires, and sometimes you get lucky (depending upon construction details) and sometimes you get unlucky. The Pirelli/Conti worked OK with pressure adjustments, but the Pirelli/Toyo combination was simply deadly. I must say... it is really nice having 4 actual matching tires.
And thanks for not yelling at me.
