I was thinking....Waaaayyy OT when I started reading this. BUT, then again, when you have important life questions needing answers, you'd ask your friends... And here we all are! I learn something here everyday...just didn't think it would be about swing sets!

Daa...you wouldn't leave them alone.

It goes without saying, you would check everything they did, and of course, it will take you longer to build it.

I use to take my son to the track when he was a baby. I remember him helping me with the jacks, air gun and simple things. I can promise you I never took my car back out without redoing or checking whatever he touched.

Now he is 8. He is light years ahead of any kid his own age when it come to building things. You should have seen his pinewood derby car for Club Scouts. They don't teach things like that in school anymore.

Check out his Pinewood Derby Car:

I would rather rebuild an engine with a toothpick and tweezers, than to assemble another one of those big wooden swing sets.

Once I got all the stuff out of the box and layed out...I was so amazed at how many bags of screws and how big those bags were, that I actually got a camera and took pictures...I knew nobody would believe it otherwise.

Of course, it didn't help that I had a "drop dead" deadline looming....his 2 year old birthday party was coming up the next weekend...and about 30 kids were expecting to be playing on this thing. Alas...I got it done on time, and everybody had a good time...
