Default "Breaking in" Supercups?

I had them installed about a thousand miles ago. I knew what I was getting into (volume and drone-wise), but it did take some getting used to the volume at first. Kinda strange feeling so un-stealthy...

Anyway, after some use, I find the volume and drone to be noticeably attenuated. 10-20% less? Was wondering if it's just me, my hearing, or a real change in sound?

I absolutely LOVE the sound. Totally changes the feel of the driving experience...

You have lost 10-20% of your hearing.

+1. Even with cats and the Supercups, I always wore earplugs. With 'Cups and my DACH cat bypass, ear plugs are even more essential.

when the car is warmed up and you can run it over 4k, the sound is more tolerable. The drone is somewhere between 3 and 4k, and pretty unbearable. Also, I think the drone goes away a little when they are hot.

I pulled the baffles out of mine. The drone isn't as bad but they are louder. That drone is why I'm going to get the fisterd setup.
