Default Electrical problem

Searched on the forum but couldn't find an answer.

The lights for the reverse (white lights in the rear) stopped working, I checked the bulbs but they are ok.

Looked for a fuse but don't see one?

Thanks for the help!!

Not sure about the 993 specifically, but had the same problem on a '95 BMW, and it was a bad "reverse" switch located under the gear shifter.

Yeah, probably the reverse switch. Try wiggling the shift lever while it's in reverse and see if the lights come on. If they do you have a switch problem.

Most likely the switch. It screws into the right side of the transaxle. Expensive little thing. I paid $72 for mine three years ago (27,000 miles on the car). I replaced one on my 911SC about 15 years ago and it was the same design, which apparently still sucked in 1996.
