So, Papa Smurf, were you the mastermind behind the FisterD tribute?

That was a good ride! It is intoxicating driving the car on those twisties. I just gotta find that squeak.

Hummel,
I gave this some more thought. I think the front 'knock' may be that which we spoke of (metal/metal), and for the rear, I'd check the state of the following:
  • Top hat mounting nuts, both sides
  • Sway bar end link fasteners, both sides
  • Orientation of drop link mounts when at ride height
If your right-side engine mount was completely devoid of oil, I could see the mount making noise if the engine cradle was violently forced upwards. But that type of pounding did not happen on our test drive, and you've not mentioned any visible fluid loss at that corner

Another possibility is the main center nut for the shock shaft. You could get the car on stands, remove the top hat mounting nuts, and allow the shock to fall downward while still attached to the suspension. This should give enough room to check this nut using a hex wrench and an open socket. When satisfied that it's tight, raise the suspension until you can reattach the small nuts.

Just some thoughts.

Andreas
