I was there as well but came and left early. Great event. They also had an intersesting display of Police cars through the years, some with old radar rigs. There were more than a few cars I'd have happily driven home.

I had a great time ...a great event..I drove up and down the multilevel carpark on arrival and departure..as their were a ton of cool cars hiding..

The field actually wasn't that bad, there was a lot more grass than dirt and not much wind so I don't think dust was a big issue. The event was held adjacent to Stanford University and if you saw how nice their "nice" fields are you'd understand why they wouldn't dream of letting people drive on them. Also it was pretty hot down there so doing it on pavement wasn't really an option either.

I also noticed a late 80's Carrera Turbo-Look without spoilers, very cool. And my fav., the red 73RS, I believe the exact car that appeared in the April 2004 isuue of Excellence (996GT3 Mk. II vs. 73RS).
