993/964 Shifter

Does anyone know if the boot is the same between a 993 and a 964? I need to know specifically if the lower clip-in loop is the same shape and would work on either car.

The center console that the shift boot clips into is a 964 part number, so my guess would be that the shift boot frames that are secured to the console are the same.
