Default NOOB PSS9 adjustment questions

OK I admit, this is a sad set of questions but, I know you all know the answers!

My car came with pss9's on it, where do I adjust the stiffness? Is there a tool? if so what does it look like? and is there any other comon tool I could use to adjust?

While we are at it, any suggestions on how to set it for autocross? i noticed a good bit of understeer today.. ( I have ROW sways as well)

Thanks for helping a NOOB out!

On the fronts, on the very bottom of the shock body is a blue plastic cover (if it is still there). Pull it off and it will reveal a **** (facing down) that you can use to adjust. Clockwise is looser, CounterC is stiffer. You should be able to feel the detents (or clicks) between settings (1-9). 1 is stiffest, 9 is loosest.

On the rears the the **** is on the inboard side of the shock body at the bottom. No cover. That **** is facing towards to centerline of the car. Same settings, same rotation, "clicks" are much harder to "feel" between eaach number.

For everyday driving 6-8 front and rear (I personally don't like "9" as it underdamps the springs IMHO). for AX just go straight to "1". Its also easiest since you turn all the way CC...no need to try and feel the clicks.

Good Luck

Dave thank you for your response!

So I can just jack it up and I should be able too see them form the bottom on the front, and on the rear if I am looking at it with the wheel off it would be on the complete opposite side from where I am looking at correct? Do I need to take the wheels off to reach either one?

By the way love the car, is it true arena red is the fastest? (as long as I am not driving of course!)

Just jack it up with the wheels on. You will easily identify the *****.

Once you locate them...you can actually do it without jacking up the car...just requires a "reach around"...the wheels that is.

And yes, my experience is that arena red is the fastest

Have just installed a RS 3.8 tailbase and RS splitters...will be posting pics in about a week...it is going for a detail on Monday
