Impossible to see mine - and I can touch the roof with my head. The only way I can tell if it's deployed is by looking at my shadow on the road divider, or by looking at my reflection off suvs or tankers.

 

Check the alignment of the fan-shaped toothed gear with the small round toothed gear (hard to explain, it's on the left/driver's side of the car and raises the spoiler). In my car the bolt (allen wrench will tighten it) that held this kept backing out and then would get out of alignment so the small round gear just spins but doesn't engage the fan-shaped gear. More explaining will only be more confusing, it's very clear if you pop the rear decklid and look!

 

No way I can see my spoiler go up/down in a cab.....
