I just had my car emissions tested and it didnt fail they just said that they couldnt read the data, is there something special I have to do? I dont drive the car much, and they said that cuold be the reason. Due to my low confidence in their know how i figured i would ask.

I had the OBDII connection failure and I ended up going to another shop the same day and it connected and passed there. On the way home, a block from the smog test the car died and I found it was due to a dodgy battery cable connection, so in retrospect the problem at the 1st smog test could have been caused by my poor battery connection.

I hope you solve your smog day challenges as cheaply as I did!

Did they disable the Immobilizer after turning the key on???
