Need Help Idetifying Calipers
I bought a set of used calipers that were supposed to be "Big Black" Calipers for my 928 but I don't know for sure what they really are.
The only number that I see is a "casting" number 20.4565.00.
They do bolt to the standard 928 S-4 spindle, and accept an S-4 pad but do not accept a Bid Red or 928 GTS pad.
They were originally black in color and I refinished them.
I would really appreciate any help in identifying these so that I can sell them.
I'm starting to lean toward them being a 993 N/A front caliper.
Thus the reason for my post here.
Thanks,
Ken

If the calipers take an S4 pad, they are likely 993 calipers. Once you measure the piston sizes, you'll know precisely whether they are 993 fronts or 993TT rears.

The difference between 993 front and the late black 928S4 was the setup of the bleeds for leading vs trailing mount, there were also some earlier 928S4 fronts w/ diffferent seals and funky piston sizes
the pictured red calipers are set up for leading front mount
they could be either 993 front or if they have the tall mounting bases 964t front, if they have the tall mounts the pads will hang off a stock 304mm 928S4 front rotor
both have the same 36/44 pistons

Thanks Guys !!!
They are not the "deep" 964t calipers, I have a set of those on the front of my 928....so they have to be the 993 N/A ones. Too bad they stopped putting part numbers on some of these.
Thanks again for your help.
