torque value for hollow spoke metal valve stems
Does anyone know the proper value for torquing the metal valve stems of 993 hollow spoke wheels?
Alas, searching hasn't helped me on this one....
Thanks!

3.5 +/- 0.5 Nm (2.2 +/- 0.4 ft lb) according to the factory service manual. Good luck finding something that reads that low without spending a ton of money. I think I got mine from Griots for less than the Craftsman version of the same tool. It looks like a screwdriver.

Told you about 20 - 30 in / lb.
i'd use a 3/8 drive ratchet / socket combo with my palm cupping the head.
then turn until "snug"

Wait, this might BE Comedy Central...I've been watching the Smurfs lately.
Dave911G, Thanks for the useful info!
ppressle, that's actually a good idea of how to approximate it.
