Hey folks,
Just wanted to show you our new house after re-locating back to Finland. I still have a house in Florida and hopefully will be visiting there every now and then, at least when it's cold and dark here during the winter.
The house is situated on a 1300 acre lot and is just 300 yards from the beach.
There is another empty lot in between the sea and the house. I am renting the house right now but we are in negotiations with the owner to actually purchase it along with the beach lot.
It's an ideal location as it's only 6.5km's from the center of the town, yet it's basically rural area. If/when I end up purchasing the house, I will build a 3 car garage on the lot and enlargen the patio on the backyard. Needless to say there will also be a hot tub on the patio that can be used during the winters as well. Just like in many other Finnish homes nowadays.![Big Grin](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
I will also build a Sauna on the beach lot and a pier so I can keep my boat there and take a dip in the sea.
Currently I have a share for the community pier to hold a boat. The pier is just 500 yards from the house.
There is also a vast fresh water pool that was separated from the sea in the 60s, the closest access point to the lake is just a half a mile away.
My parents own an island further out in the archipelago. It is accessible by car by using several road ferries (last 3 nautical miles has to be covered by a boat).
It used to take me and my wife up to 5 hours to reach the island.
Now I can just walk to the boat from my house and get to the island in 1.5 hours.
I can also do my daily commute with my boat since I work at a shipyard, which is obviously by the water. And it won't take any longer than by using my car (well, maybe the 993 is still a bit faster...)
Allthough I love Florida, this is something I could never be able to do there; have a house by the beach,I love it!!

Thanks guys!
This is actually not a lake. It's the Baltic Sea. So I have almost a direct access to the Atlantic Ocean from my backyard.![Wink](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)

I don't know where Kipru's cabin is but it's probably not far since Turku is only 50 miles south.

That's my kind of place. Back when I was a teenage, I would use our boat to go to work (working in a marina) and it was the life. You're a very lucky man.
