Default possible bargain c4s ?

anybody looking for a reasonable c4s?
it is for sale at a local portland bmw dealer.

i walked around it and visually looks pretty nice.

http://portland.craigslist.org/wsc/ctd/1195123969.html

be sure to get a proper ppi !

they started the price at $42,900 and now at $32,400.

Default C4S?

I don't see where it indicates that this is a C4S. Am I missing something? Whoops I just looked again and it has the red brake calipers. It's been a while for me to look at Rennlist, slipped some I have. Still I guess there is a chance that it's either a bargain or the picture doesn't match the car.

http://www.cars.com/go/search/detail...aff=national#7 Photos show the C4S marking... CarFax should be interesting becuase it has a fairly recent plate that doesn't look like a dealer's tag

OK Those photos convinced me, thanks Cab. Then saving something bad in it's past I would say this could be a good deal for someone. Anyone remember the name of that color? I used to know these things, now I've forgotten.

i think the tags just expired.
i wonder if it could have the dreaded cel?
that would keep it from passing smog in oregon.

DO NOT BUY WITHOUT PPI !!

wheels are from 996 turbo

if it passes ppi, its a bargain for someone.

Smile Actually...

The standard Carrera 4S wheels were the solid wheels, not the hollow spokes that came on the 993TT. The hollow Turbo wheels were an option...they were ordered by my car's PO.

I can't tell a Carrera S from a Carrera 4 S from the front....the calipers on this car could have been upgraded...the 4S with 4 wheel drive as we all know. The Carrera S with the split rear intake and standard 993 brakes.

Cleary I have too much time on my hand this evening

I still have a Carfax account. It's listed as a RWD but under Carrera 2/4/4S/2S. Carfax isn't as good as Experian's Autocheck, imho. But my Autocheck account has expired. It looks to be a C4S (from pics on Autotrader and Cars.com)

4 owners. Originally a lease. In CA until 3rd owner registered it in Bend, OR at on 10/23/06. 4th owner registered it in Bend on 6/11/07. Then sold to dealer on 3/17/09. No miles on the OR titles (OR doesn't require mileage on their titles?) Last CA odo reading was at emissions testing with 77,902.

Online listing noted at 3/24/09 with 84,406.

One service record noted at 51,626 on 12/29/99.

1st owner moved around a lot in CA. 2nd owner was from Thousand Oaks (LA suburb.)

No emissions fail noted in either CA or OR.

Damn, I hate when these deals come up when I have no cash! It's Adventurine Green too!

Beaverton Oregon. Same city as Sunset Porsche. Might be a good place for a PPI.
