Should we consider the % of parts in each that was actually made in Germany vs., say, China?

What is all this people are saying about the 993 not being good for a DD, and not comfortable for long trips, and not ergonomic? I just finished a 1000 mile trip in mine from SF to San Diego and back, and the car handled it brilliantly. I never thought the ride was too harsh, it didn't tire me out, the seat position was fine, it was quiet, A/C worked great... Might be because I'm still running the stock suspension maybe??

I don't get it!

they are just saying the 997, being newer, is more "user friendly" than the 993.... personally I like the oddness of the air cooled cars and would rather drive it daily. But since this is all based on opinion the OP will need to decide for himself
