Default PET CD

Where can I get a later version of the PET CD? My current copy is version 5 and it leaves a lot to be desired. I was a version 7.1 screen shot in another thread. TIA

The last version available on CD that you can use is 6.xx. With 7, you need a dongle for the parallel port to unlock the software. This also updates itself through PCNA with prices. These are limited to mostly Porsche dealers though... (a few do have it). While not as convenient, Porsche does have online every model available as a PDF outlined into the same Groups as the old Pet system.

I don't know what vs. this is but it now covers the '08 models. Pelican PET CD $9 p/n 000.043.400.05 Would the 05 indicate vs. 5? (I know it doesn't always work that way, in this case it might)

I need this for my '06 Pepper.

What is the difference between the CD and the PDF version of the PET that you can download from porsche.com?

The CD has the actual PET application, The best way to understand the diff is to see the app running but the PET app (my layman's opinion) is a little bit more robust but effectively uses the the same data files. The downloaded PDF uses basic Adobe app to view the files. Hopefully someone who has used the PET app more than I have can describe the functionality a little better. Like I said, I've mostly just used the PDF files too since the app did not run in a window.

Thanks for posting that link, it has newer PDF files than the one I had, just don't know if it's newer than the one Pelican lists.
