If I understand correctly now, at 70 bar pressure with 55bar limiter the bias is 3.697 and without the limiter (p.v.) it would be 1.997. While not ideal 1.5, it looks like a def improvement. Please correct me if I got it wrong again.
yes, removing both p/v is a small step in the right direction

This is such a great thread, thanks for all the great info!

So here's the deal. My 1990 C2 now has 322/32 front and 322/28 rear discs (with handbrake). 993TT Big Red front. 993 brake booster and mc. My ABS is E30 M3 Cup, 3-channel. Still have the original ppv, (wonder which one that is).

The question is, do I fit 993RS or 993TT brakes in the rear?

The question is, how do you use the car? Street use, some track, or dedicated track car?

Got a GOOD LSD (since you really need that with the RS calipers)?

Just noticed on Bill's brake info that my ppv is the 45bar kind.

I have a Guard LSD, forgot to mention. I guess my car is mostly setup for track days, but I drive it on the street as well. Intrax suspension.

Curious as to how you use a 322x28 rear rotor w/ hand brake

if you have that rotor it sounds like you already have the hard part done.

993RS rear calipers would be the way to go w/ those rotors.

I thought you would be....Carbon Ceramics.
So with the 45bar ppv and the rest of my setup the RS version would be best. Thanks for helping out!!

Got a link or other info? It's my understanding from talking to multipls rotor makes that the parking brake is so large that you need ~330mm rotor to retain it. That's why you can get these things for 996 & Boxster/Cayman up

If you have 322x28 and the rotor o/s is the same as 993 322x28 rear rotors then 993RS calipers should bolt right on.

It's a 322/28 custom made for 964 to retain the handbrake. I'm mounting them in a couple of weeks and I'll post the details.
Originally the idea was to go with 993tt front/rear but after reading your info I'll be going 993rs rear.
Any idea what my brake bias will be with this setup? Close to the 1.5 number?

Not sure what the ratio is, but presently running the rear RS calipers. Using pagid blacks in rear, yellow up front. It's been working well for me. I think your Guard differential is the wrong set up. Can you send it to me? :-)

Sure the bias is pure 993RS. 993tt & 993RS have the same front calipers and the same front and rear rotors so any bias difference is from the rear calipers
993tt bias is 1.997 w/o any consideration of the affect of the p/v's
993RS is 1.426

I run the 993RS setup on both my cars

Wouldn't be much use to you, it's for really fast cars.

Bill,

I am running 993TT calipers & rotors front & rear on a 993 C2S which had stock calipers & p/v.
Should I gut the p/v or get 1-993tt p/v... since I only have 3-channel ABS?

Thanks,
Dave
