Has anyone gone the route of changing out USA spec cats to 100 cell version with RSR. Seems like it would be better sound but not as crazy as no Cats. Carnewal has these 100 cell cat inserts available.

I tried the fabspeed cat bypass with supercups just last week. sounded like I was at the track!!! Pure Awesome. I was scared about getting pulled over. I basically shifted 1st to 5th to keep the revs low. Neighbors all complained and the wife was out of town (the only reason I was able to do it!!).

I put the stock cat back on with the supercups, and for me that was the best combo. Plus the low end torque is better with the stock cat. You lose it with the cat bypass pipes. After the wife got home, I put the stock motorsound cans back on , but it only takes me about 30 minutes to swap out the stock cans with the Supercups. And once I get a lift, it will be even less time to switch them out. So for fun runs with the guys, I can change exhausts easily!

I have 100 cell Dansnk sport cats (9M uses these) with stock muffs. It sounds much better (and more agressive and klouder) than stock cats. I had on some DACH mufflers for a while (for sale, if you have a widebody) that "took it to 11". They were even deeper and more agressive, maybe angry, sounding. I will probably try to get another muff somewhere between these. I went with sport cats over bypass pipes due to recommendations from experts.

I'm thinking that a set of Sport Cats with the RSR would be the perfect combo....

The RLer that I bought my cats from thought so.

I have muffler bypass and have just installed FVD cat bypass. Havn't got the car back yet (doing major suspension, clutch and motor mods) . Car is loud but seems bearable. The turbo setup keeps the car a bit quiter than NA 993. Hopefully I will not have to put mufflers back on

I have Cargraphic 100 cell sports cats plus RSRs and they give, in my opinion, one of the best sounds going. Assuming they are working I have some sound clips on the link in my signature. I love it; fairly quiet inside with the windows up and light throttle but give it some welly and wow!

Cheers,

David

Angry

I just tried my link and it went to some video site so maybe Putfile is no more. I'll try and find the clip and load it on You Tube!

Cheers,

David

Do your ears bleed after driving???

Do you guys need to wear ear plugs???
What?!

I don't have them anymore although my current set-up (headers, race cats & no mufflers) at WOT is as loud, just better sound. It's decent when driving slow though.
