Default Cab guys - wind deflector up or down when putting top up??

I know this seems like a silly question but I just bought the wind delector and dont want to destroy it first time i use it. Does it matter if it is up or down when you put the roof up? Having a tough time visualizing it

Thanks

Leave it up as it situates itself.

If it is OEM and correctly installed (see Manual for details) it will situate itself as said before: IDIOT PROOF

I always have it in the up position before closing the top.

It is OEM (got a good deal i think from a gentleman in Portland) and it just closed perfectly. It was idiot proof but i didnt want to be the first idiot to have it shoot through the roof!! I had read the manual several times but it made no refernce to putting the top up with the deflector in place.

Thanks for the help
