Question Question for those who have installed an M033 kit

Hi there,

I have a question for those who have installed or have seen an M033 kit P/N 000 044 500 01. I have decided to order one of those (after careful thinking, don't worry) but I would like to know what is in the kit. The dealer seems not able to get the details of what's in the kit. I need to know so I can order all the little parts I need that don't come in the kit.

Any help welcome.

Thank you.

PS: I drove an M030 car and it is way too rough for the use I have of the car (99.9% street). And I don't drive the car enough to justify a PSS10... those are the reasons for the M033.

A factory M033 kit?
I cannot help with the details on what that PN includes. I would have thought the dealer you spoke with would answer that.

However, if you haven't already you might consider buying M033 springs with Bilstein HDs.
You can add sway bars of your choice if you want.

This is the setup I have on my cab and it is very nice for street.

Another thought, the cost of that factory kit must come close to or exceed PSS10s, right?

Yes, I'm talking about a factory kit. Trying to see if any "side" hardware comes with it or if it is just springs and shocks.

Actually, this kit is a pretty good deal. 4 springs and 4 shocks for about $750. I haven't seen the PSS10 below $2400. Bilstein HD's might be a good option, and that is probably what I will do, once the factory shocks that come with the kit are worn out (which will take me many years at the rate I'm driving this car).

I had my shop just install M030 springs and Bilsteins on my C2S. I didn't change sway bars. Since I don't track the car, It seems to be a good set up for the street - good ride height, not too hard or soft and no bottoming out issues either.

salut Benoit, the part number you are giving is for tiptronic + A/C, for manual it finishes with 000.044.500.00
The kit comprises 4 struts and 4 springs (670 euros)
regards

Benoit,
Well, that is lower than I'd have expected. The springs are relatively cheap but I had never priced the OE struts/shocks. Interesting.

FWIW, I would not expect a Porsche "kit" to contain any extraneous HW.

M033 is hardly distinguishable from M030 (and ROW has Progressive springs). Also, the dealers PET system has the individual parts that make up every kit. Not sure why they are telling you this...
