Going Rate for C2S
Pricing has fallen slightly but not significantly.
I did notice that there seem to be far fewer low mileage examples available as compared to five years ago when I first started watching the values on these.

I just paid $41k for a '97 C2 Coupe with 18,555 miles. I know, you will say I paid to much. But it has many options and low miles with extensive records. Ocean Blue w/Classic Grey. Alum dials, gear and e-brake, Hi-Fi Sound, Motor Sound, SS door sills Lowered with PSS9 suspension. Just put on 18" Turbo wheels and painted bumperettes. Awesome condition!

My ideas on value have nothing to do with having a horse in this race. Although I do own a 1998 C2S, it is not nor has it ever been for sale. It simply is a data point that interests me BECAUSE I own one...and I will suggest that my guesstimates have been pretty accurate over the past 7 years. And I know that some people would prefer a C2S over a Turbo...and could afford either. Now, back to important things....
My car is a definite "garage queen" having only been driven a little more than 2000 miles per year, on average...but that still adds up to 30K+ miles after 12 or 13 years.
I do think low miles becomes less important to value as the years roll on. 20 or 30 years from now these cars will almost all be repainted and restored and might have some added value because of their place in history as the last of the air-cooled. I see auctions where 1960's era muscle cars which were produced in far larger numbers than the 993 C2S are selling for astounding amounts. Will it be the same for these last of the aircooled? Who knows. But in the meantime they are fun to drive and take care of.
I'm not too worried about what the value will be since it really isn't going to be an investment. I just want to be able to go out to my garage and look at it anytime I want and take it for a spin on a nice weekend morning/night.

Its a much different and larger crowd buying those cars and a probably alot more cars have been sent to the junk yard then 993's.
The price on the sub-30K mile cars will always be less elastic.
Hello Fellow 993 Owners,
Great time for this question. Yesterday I saw a 1998 993 C2S go through Manheim Auto Auction in Pa. It had 35,505 on the clock and was black with cashmere leather and a 6 speed. Fairly well appointed and not a lot of mods. All books, keys, and records were there from new. Very nice and recently for sale in the NY area. It sold for $41,500. These are rather rare to see at auction so it made my day a little nicer.
I happen to buy one of these back in November with 54,000 on the clock for $35K for what it's worth. It was a private party sale here in MD. Mine is Zenith Blue Metallic with a few upgrades (CD changer, seats, etc.) It also came with the original turbo twist 18" wheels and a set of the 993 Targa wheels as well.
As many on Rennlist will tell you, 993s are great to look at and wash, but much better to drive! Low mile cars may bring more $$$, but if you plan to "enjoy" it, the cost per mile will undoubtedly be higher due to depreciation based on miles.
Just my 2 cents.
Any questions let me know.
Happy hunting.

Absolutely. I will post pictures of mine once the weather clears up here in MD. I would like to get together with the fellow 993 owners that are local. They certainly know their stuff when it comes to these cars.
I have enjoyed the posts and will try to become more active if there is anything I can add that would be beneficial.
