You are bidding on a pair of Max speed motors sports seats for Porsche 911. These GT race seats are extremely comfortable and keep you locked in when you are doing hard cornering. I had these installed on my 1990 964/ 959 clone but grew tired of trying to squeeze a third passenger behind them so I am returning my car to original. These seats will fit most Porsches and are in great condition with no tears whatsoever, but do show a bit of clouding in the Carbon fiber clear coat. These seats are solid carbon are are extremely light. If you have over a 38" waist I would not recommend them. Bought them a year ago for almost two thousand. Get them here cheap for your show car or track car. Cushions tear out as well to accept a five point harness. Will ship Fedex ground or you can pick up for free. Thanks for looking - Joel

I think those seats are the same as the ones here:

I've been meaning to go there and check out some of their CF parts in person

$400 is less than the cost of the mounts and sliders if you look at it that way. Buy these and pick up a set of Porsche/Recaro GT3 seats and swap them out. That way you avoid the bending and grinding on the 996/986 rails.

Along with side mounts and sliders from the same company. Not something that I would even consider installing for a customer if they walked into my shop with them in their hands...

How much is your head worth if you buy a $500 helmet? I've been looking for this answer for teh last 10 years. Anyone?

Well, I think I'd like to purchase a couple of $500 heads. Not that I'll have any use for such cheap heads, but I think they'll make nice conversation pieces next to my $150 helmet (that I think I bought for less than that on eBay).

ok so final consensus, don't buy for safety, maybe for looks...
on the same subject, anybody know where I COULD get a set of GT3 seats at a good price or does anyone have a used set for sale??

If you can't spend the bucks for safety then stay off the track please. Your life is worth so much more and you will very sorry you got cheap on safety when you are (best case) looking up at the ortho doc as he is explaining how many people do find a way to have a "normal" life as a quad.
