Well first off, I have never done this and sorry for the cell phone pics but its all I had when the time came to take pics. Its my first paint job and I think it turned out great. Im going to get it covered with 3M film so I hope it last a while.
First pic is of the damage. It was not too bad but I decided to re spray the whole front of the car as it was very badly pitted up.

I sanded to bare metal, pulled the dent out with a post welder and filled the low spots with body filler.

I then sanded and prepped the rest of the front, removing the headlight spray nozzles, the windshield spray nozzles and was ready for primer.

Next up was the paint and Clear. I had to repaint the passenger fender as I had a thin spot in the clear and sanded into the color coat enough that I messed it up. Just part of the learning curve...![Frown](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif)

Finally test fitted the front end parts and made my new mesh metal cooling ducts that will feed extra air to the two front oil coolers.

Car put back together and was wet sanded and buffed to a shine. No wax and car put into the sun to bake a little. 3M clear bra is in its future.

Not bad for a beginner...

WOW...Awesome job. You obviously have done this before. This is DIY that I won't be attempting. It takes a lot of skill and practice to do that, and I rather not acquire those skills in my own car. ![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Does the floor on the garage shows a bit of red too? or is it just the picture? Please tell me that you covered the white car next to your red one while you were spraying.

Unbelievable? I spray painted an extra set of track wheels a couple months ago. That said, I definitly would not paint my own car!

Too funny.... I'm doing the exact same .... including removing the washers and mesh grills.... Only I’m about two weeks behind you... I just finished rough fitting.... still have sanding and paint to go..
I hope it turns out as good as yours.
