I remember the 356 story, knew it wasn't that one.

As for the original photos the other web site says it happened early Nov. '08. My memory is so bad I have no idea if that was when I saw them.

Hello Prudential?
It would be interesting to know what Porsche's "hard cost" per car would be, if they were written off for insurance purposes; i.e. the cost of materials, labour, administration, and factory time, per unit. I would think the insurer would not allow R & D allocated to the cars, as this has not been lost.

In any event, Porsche A.G. is so strong, that it may self - insure, to a limit.

Unlikely Porsche is liable. Would probably fall to the carrier that Porsche contracted.

True. The issue could be between the carrier's insurer and Porsche.

This was reported closer to when it first occurred on the 997 forum. With this crowd, they would certainly have to post guards overnight to keep them from being stripped!

Same story I think. I'm pretty sure I would have heard had it happened again.

this was the original story 20 Porsche 997 Damaged in Train Wreck

They'll probably crush them as were the Mazdas on the capsized carrier ship. Shame.
