Default Oil level sender unit easy to replace?

Is the unit diy able for average guy?

The sensor is very easily accessible, just take off the passenger side skirt, rear wheel and the rear inner fender (plastic). All you need is a screwdriver and a 10mm socket or wrench.
I think the sensor is just bolted to the sump/reservoir.

Does it peg @5 bar? If yes, faulty sending unit is the most likely cause.
