Please forgive if this is a duplicate post but I've never seen it before. I know these are the red-headed step children of the 993 forum, but I like 'em all and it's still pretty cool and RARE Looks like a factory special order:

From the Sport Haus, Reno, Nevada inventory list, Gulf Blue 996 Cabriolet:

Has anyone had any problems getting Riviera Blue paint mixed up? I've had two different paint shops mix up 39E but both times they have come back looking totally different from the real Rivera blue colour.

Any help would be appreciated,
Thanks.

No problems here. I used Glasurit paint and had it mixed up in a basecoat/clearcoat setup. I also color sanded and buffed my gas door before we mixed all the paint, had the shop shoot a test card to match up and the matches were perfect. Had a gallon mixed and that did the entire car with a little left over. Riviera Blue from Porsche is a single stage paint (no clearcoat) and does degrade and loose its luster over time. You may be trying to match against 13+ year old paint. This may be the reason for the difference in color.

I'm new here, but I've been eying this thread for quite a while. I saw this 993 RS last weekend.... looks familiar.

It's the best Porsche I have ever seen in person, hands down.

You are very welcome. You can find much higher res pics of your car here. I think I'll have more pics to post soon as well.

Is Mike the owner of the black 993 RS that was there? If so I watched him almost park next to yours and then decide not to. I really wanted pics of them side by side.

While I was stuck in Germany due to Iceland blowing it's top, I went to the Porsche museum and learned that the last air cooled car they made was your favorite color!
