Hi all,
I just noticed that Carnewal is selling 200 cell cat inserts. Has anyone tried these? Recommendations or recommendations to steer clear?
The other option would be the dach x pipe with the sport cats. The inserts are a bit lower profile for the smog police...
Thanks,
Pete

Thanks for the kudo's Bart, appreciate it.
Pete, before you buy anything, be very careful. The United State of the Enviro Wackos (commonly known as California) have changed the CARB regulations starting this year. What it says in basic terms, is that any cats made after Jan 1 09 have to have certain new specs on the cats. I have not sold any cats to CA this year, so I'm not sure how your inspections ***** are enforcing the new rules or not. My cats are prior to 1/09, but if the inspector doesn't want to accept that, you're out a bit of $$.
There are a few guys in your area that have my pipes if you are interested in seeing/hearing them. GL either way and report back if you would.

the enviro wackos in my state (Ca.) have no idea where the engine is much less whether or not the cats are up to spec. The actual people doing the visual check won't be able to tell what cat material is in exhaust system. As long as the tailpipe test passes.
The new regulation is on the supply side...
