Default Remove immobilzer and Alarm

Hello
Like everybody I am very much pissed off by the immobilzer behaviour.
After looking at the wiring diagram it seems pretty easy to remove it and some dead weight at same time.
So is it possible ?
As I understood - I just need to disconnect it and plug a jumper on relay R61.
The manual also says that Pin 12 at the ignition lock ( connector X 4/2) is cutted - version without immo same pin is uncutted.
Pin 27 of DME have to be connected to Borne 15 : +12V Hot / Start)
Alarm and central locking will be inoperative but a replacement should be easy to find.
Regards
Nicolas

Default this is good

so did you do this with success? I've been dieing to unhook mine. question or two for you due to being border line retarded with wiring.
what do you mean by putting a jumper on Relay R61? are you shorting it out or connecting it to something else or bypassing?
connecting pin 27 to Borne 15, what is the Borne 15?

thanks a ton,
Nick

I have searched this and other forums and seen some posts regarding hearing of places that can dissable the Immobilizer but have not heard from anyone who has successfully done this. I have a feeling that there are many of us who would love to have this information. Please relate your experience, good or bad, regarding this subject. It seems like collectively we should be able to figure it out.

I visted this several years ago and was told that I will need to get a reprogrammed DME to completely remove the immobilizer function.

I thought I saw a thread where Steve Weiner can do this. It was a long time ago so I am going from an already bad memory, but if he does I am in as well. I hate that damn thing.

I'd be interested in this as well, even if it meant sending the ECU out.

I read somewhere that the SFL tuners can do it. The flip side is that your car is always in ready mode and can be easily hot wired and stolen.

I hate the immobilizer as well - and I have a '95 without it!

Empathy.

I contacted Steve Weiner. He can do it on the OBDII cars. OBD I are pretty much out of luck. It can be done on the OBD I cars but is a huge PITA according to Steve.

Did Steve W mention cost?

I would kill to get rid of the immobilizer, but not sure my budget can afford it at the moment.

Borne 15 is Terminal 15 : ignition Key activated +12V
Terminal 30 : permanent +12V (battery direct connection)
