There is a nice overview of the first Porsche four-seater, air cooled 754 prototype build in 1959...

Yeah, yeah it looks ugly, how many times are we gonna hear that. This can mean only one thing....it will sell like hot cakes. Just like the fugly bangle 7, I couldn't understand how it sold so well looking all butchered up, but it didd. One can only dream, lol.

Let us hope they know what they are doing. They seem to have done alright with the Cayenne (in SUV sales).
They went far a field with the 914, 924/944/968, and 928 in styling. Of late they seem to stay closer to the 911 looks with the Boxster. Cayman, and now this. Time will tell, don't count it out just yet, but not my cup of tea either.

How about this design from Tatra. It was called the T87 and had a rear mounted AIR COOLED engine. It almost looks like the Panamera's relative. What a novel idea.... Right?????

I used to live in Dallas back in the mid-to-late 60's and recall that someone down in S. Texas took a 911, cut it in half and added two doors and two seats. Car was green I believe. Looked pretty good, too...lots better than the Panamera. NE1 know what happened to that car?
