Porsche part # 710
I recently purchased a Porsche car (Carrera 5).
It is 12 years old but it looks good and the spoiler moves up and down.
I am new to Porsches but I want to do all car servicing myself.
The coolant was very low so I added half of a bottle into the hole with
710 number on it. Is this a part number or coolant tank capacity ?
I found owners manual book hidden under passenger's bag of air but it is
only in English and this is not my first language.
By the way, I just started the engine and it makes strange noises. Please help.

Good thing all the 996/997s got rid of all that coolant mumbo jumbo ...the newer air-cooled cars are much better than our antiquated water-cooled engines.

I think you may have done something wrong here.
The 993 is air cooled.
You need to purchase part Number 710 as a canister refill from a reputable porsche dealer or specialist.
It fits snugly over the outlet you mention and injects ionised air at high pressure into the engine manifold. Hence the term: 'air-cooled'.
Are you with me?

Wrong coolant, sir! As Bob mentioned above, the car is not compatible with VAG coolant. It needs a higher grade coolant to be compatible with its heritage.
If you do decide to do FYI on the turn signal fluid "while you are there", do not repeat the same mistake, get the best!

Actually........... U know what?
Maybe the strange noises are not cause you put the coolant in, It might be the 5th axle on your Carrera 5 I heard those Carrera 5's had a 5th axle Recall and if you go the the dealer they should replace it.

You put the coolant in the wrong tank. If you go to the driver's side fender the filler neck is there. Just pull the release button under the dash to the left of the steering wheel. I usually has a big red cap (universal color for coolant). Open that up and keep filling to the top. Where you have the coolant jug is where the gas tank is. Good luck and welcome!
