Default oil filler neck extension

I just purchased a 1995 black cab and I'm lovin' it. However, when I examined the built in oil filler neck extension I saw that it looks cracked and deteriorating. Can this be removed and replaced? Anyone else had experience with this?
Second question: When I first start the engine in the morning, I can hear a girgling sound near the rear passenger side wheel well. It goes away after a few minutes. Is this normal?
Thanks!
Don

Don,
The accordion extensions fail from age & heat. They simply pull out. You can either replace or use a proper funnel.

The gurgling sound is coming from your oil tank - totally normal.

Thanks for the replies. Hey, Andreas, Ellicot City is a cool place....My wife and I used to live in Towson, Md., and we would drive to Ellicot City on Sunday's just for fun.

Chuck, where do you get the Blitz Funnel?

Thanks,
Don

They have pretty broad distribution. Blitz says True Value, Auto Zone. I recall getting it at Pep Boys.

Since you haven't told us where you are, you may need to DIY the dealer locater:

They are sold here as funnels for auto trans filling .... as most fill via the dipstick tube: should check locally under that application. Anyway, that's what I use here in Canuckland - no drips yet

Thanks. I am in Cleveland, Ohio and there is an Advance Auto nearby.
That old filler extension did pull right out. Phew.....I didn't want the deteriorating plastic pieces falling down into the engine.
Appreciate the help.
