Default Anyone Have This Dead Pedal?

Just wondering if anyone has any feedback on this design. My pedals came from AJ USA and this dead pedal matches them. Don't want to get my big flippers hung up on it! Also have a complex about putting those drywall screws into the fender

It will not fit a 993.

This is why I have a dead pedal from a previous group buy hiding on the garage shelves.

Why? How can you tell? This is always listed on eBay by a Rennspeed Motorsport and it matches my pedals.

I think the point is that many of these dead pedals can be made to fit, but do not necessarily fit the contour of the foot well as they should/could.

My 98 cab has a reproduction Techart-style dead pedal that I installed a few years back. For a dead pedal with a flange to fit, IIRC there will be a small gap under the plate towards the flange. Once I tightened it down (yes, had to mount using sheet metal screws) there was only a small amount of the gap showing.

I dunno. 5 years of ownership and 4 attempts to fit different dead pedals teach you a few things

Yes, people list this one as 993 fit on eBay. The difference is that they never tried to put it in a 993. Do a search for the Maxspeed group buy, look at the pics and the discussion there and you'll know.

FYI - the majority seems to have concluded that Rennline makes the ideal dead pedal for us (I agree). There also seems to be a consistently vocal majority supporting the Perfect Power strut brace, which to my twisted thinking is a somewhat related discussion.

Chuck is correct, Rennline dead pedal fits very well. Maxspeed's second design, which is a copy of Rennline pedal, fits as well.

I got in on an Ultimate Pedals group buy a couple of years ago. It was kind of a PITA to install, but I'm really happy with it.

Here they are in my car (it was my first mod!):

You can tell me it's wrong all you want _Anything_ can be made to fit, of course, but this pedal is shaped wrong for 993. Compare it to Rennline pedal and you'll see.

The whole idea behind this one in particular is that it matches my pedals. If I get the Rennline unit I have to buy new pedals as well. Trying not to fix what isn't broken.

Cactus, i believe it's a fairly standard "diamond" pattern. You might look at Maxspeed, I think they might ave that pattern available. If not, I'd consider selling your 3 pedals and getting 4 matching ones.

Also, "Pedalpusher" is a new sponsor and he might have a matching dead pedal, although his have no lip.
