The autograph is the name of the dealer offering the car: Sprintline... no glamour there

What's remarkable about the above 964 (starting with Ron 95FL993cab's post #15), is that it was a new 964 Speedster converted the first year 993s were released in Europe. Still very demanding, it was especially forward-thinking at the time. Might remain the world's only 993 Speedster converted from a 964 Speedster.
Most 993 Speedster conversions were born as older 911 coupes or cabs, not Speedsters. Primarily a decision to minimize cost, even years after 993s were available.
As I understand it, a wealthy & demanding client commissioned the Techniques d’Avant-Garde (TAG) Porsche center to produce it. Amazing undertaking performed with factory parts & Porsche technicians, & properly documented as such. Even they were eventually surprised at how few components were common between the 993 & 964 Speedster.
Completed in 1994, before F. A. Porsche's 993 Speedster, this 964 conversion may have developmentally influenced Butzi's 1995 birthday gift.

[Hard for me to post a thread without a photo, so here's the Porsche TAG engine that powered McClarens to F1 World Championship victories in the 80s...]
