Default MY'02 5-spoke owners: What size tires do you run?

All:

I am looking at a set of MY'02 Carrera 5-spoke rims, but they don't have tires on them.

1) What size tires do you suggest for a narrow body C4, standard ride height?

2) Which brand do you recommend? (I'll be driving 95% in the dry but want something that can handle wet roads pretty well also)

3) What should a set cost me?

Thanks in advance!

Paul.

I have Pirelli P Zeros only because thats what came on them. Size; Fronts are 225/40 and the rears are 285/30. I believe that the 265s on the rear will give you better handling.

Sumi HRTZ III 225 front, 265 rear. Height between euro and RS (in avatar) A lot of guys like to try to squeeze 285s in, but I'm not convinced that any incremental benefit outweighs the rubbing risk and slight cost increase.

Running Michelin Pilot Sport tires here. 265/35 rear, and 225/40 front.

Running 285/30/18 and 225/40/18 front and back. Pirelli P Zero's all round, although the wear rate on the back isn't the best. I'm lucky to get 7 or 8k out of them. The fronts last ages.

Have S-02As in 225/40, 265/35. They're okay. Will be putting on RE-01s in the same size soon.

Michelin PS 225/40 front and 285/30 rear, slightly lowered, no rubbing whatsoever, putting sumitomo HTRZ IIIs on soon.

Bridgestone RE050A Pole Position, 225/40 & 265/35 on my MY02s.
Sumitommo HTRZ III, 225/40 & 285/30 on the Hollow Spokes (same dimensions as MY02s).

The bigger rear boots do fill out the fenders a wee bit more. Would probably increase understeer at the track but no big deal in "normal" driving.
