Is there a OE audio amplifier in my car?
My car does not have the hifi sound package.
Is the factory OE head unit/in dash receiver, the only audio amplifier, or is there another separate one?
I did not see one under the passenger seat.
A friend of mine has an 89 911, and it has a factory installed amp under the passenger seat.
Cheers,

As far as I can tell from my attempt to upgrade my sound system, there is no amp other than the head unit. In my 96, the CR210 outputs the signals directly to the 4 speakers. If you want to add an amp, you will need to get an adaptor that connects to the top pins (C1-9). From the stuff I have bought so far, it is the same connector Blaupunkt uses. Since you have a 95, I think your head unit is different (CR21?) and may have a different connector than what I have, but I doubt you have a separate amp either.

Ah cool, that simplifies everything.
The CR210 is long gone. The previous owner replaced it with a cool Alpine head unit. I was thinking of ditching the stock speakers for some Infinity Kappas all around, and maybe an amp later down the road.
