Happy B-day to you Paul (and all you other nearing 40...)
Just hit the 4-0 myself in Feb. Wow, all the interns in the office look like little babies.
Good thing about that spare tire is that it really helps the seat boslters hold you in better.

Dude i can relate. Hit the 4-0 last September. My Doc ran one of those endurance/stamina/agility programs on me and my biological age recorded as 33. I guess the previous posts are correct in that you are only as old as the woman you feel. My wife is 33.

Congrats. When I turned 40, three years ago, my wife told me to go and get the car I always wanted...a 993! Great wife!
No glasses yet, there still is hope for you young guys

You bunch of young whippersnappers...as of July, I will be closer to 50 than 40....no specs yet, and fortunately us girls don't often have to worry about hair loss. As for the wrinkles, hell, they add character.
I've only owned one automatic trans car in my life and that was a short term "work car" (1980 Ford Escort 1.3GL)
993C4S since I was 35 so maybe it was an early midlife crisis!!
Don't worry about the 40th....that's when life begins!
Cheers

Welcome to the party. Turned 40 in Feb. and since last november Ive lost 50 pounds, got into shape and feel 20 years younger. The reading glasses? Yes, started those 5 years ago and now in bifocals. The curse of being pretty far sighted.
At least I got rid of the spare tire. Went from 40 pants to 33.

Mere children, all of you! I turned 62 last month.
Not long ago I walked into the Faculty lounge at the university where I teach and there was a prof sitting there with the saddest look on his face. I asked what was wrong and he replied, "You know you're getting old when you see a cute female student on campus and you immediately wonder what her mother looks like!"
In my case, it's that I wonder what her grandmother looks like!

Happy birthday, Paul. Happy Birthday to all of you guys who are about to hit 40 or 50.
I turned 60 last November and life is good. I have less hair and a longer belt than I did at 30 or 40 but, other than those minor problems, I have few complaints. I've worn glasses since I was about 35 and don't mind them at all. They're now just part of who I am--kind of like the hair thing.
Now, my 993 just turned 80 and it’s better than ever.
